"Mun d-Iguider": A Collaboration with Soleil Launiere, Nukad and Tarwa N-Tiniri

Sound artist Stranger Souma collaborated with Innu multidisciplinary artist Soleil Launière on her latest project, "Mun d-Iguider," which translates to "follows the eagle" in Amazigh. This worldbeat work emerged from a creative residency in the Moroccan desert of Merzouga, where Launière collaborated with the group Amazigh Tarwa N-Tiniri and singer Nukad.

Souma played a key role in the project, contributing to the arrangements alongside Tarwa N-Tiniri, Soleil Launière, and Simon Walls. She also served as the co-producer alongside Simon Walls, bringing her expertise in sound design and organic electronic music to shape the unique sonic landscape of "Mun d-Iguider."

To further immerse listeners in the desert soundscapes that inspired "Mun d-Iguider," a captivating music video was filmed amidst the breathtaking dunes of Merzouga. This visually stunning accompaniment perfectly complements the album's sonic textures, inviting viewers to share in the unique creative journey undertaken by Launière, Souma, and their collaborators. To further document this remarkable artistic exchange, a documentary film is currently in production, chronicling the making of "Mun d-Iguider" and offering a deeper insight into the creative process behind this groundbreaking collaboration.
